Made of Palm and hand woven in Mexico. Variations in color or weave are natural occurances. The 3 1/2" brim is an excellent sun blocker. It transmits 0% of the sun through the brim and has earned an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPV) of 50+, the highest rating available. The crown is latticed (vented) for cooling and has a chincord for breezy days. Some people call this the Gambler Style.
